I have always maintained that to eliminate terrorism and fundamentalistic idealogy, the common man has to be made to experience the benefits of modernity and progress. The moment he realises the advantages of progress, he will reject all things that opposes such progress. The more we fail in bringing these benefits to the doorsteps of the poor and the hungry, the more suceptible we become to terrorism and fundamentalism.
