Happy Birthday Ranjan.
By Rummuser. Filed in Relationships |Tags: Birthday Greetings
Today Ranjan is 38. This day in 1971 was a momentous one for our whole family. He was born in his maternal grandmother’s town, Hyderabad. We were living in Mumbai, then known as Bombay, but Urmeela wanted her maternal family doctor to deliver Ranjan in her Nursing Home. I was in attendance and I can never forget holding him in my arms all swathed in bundles of sheets.
Can’t imagine wrapping him up in sheets and holding him in my arms anymore.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RANJAN.
Last year, Urmeela was with us to celebrate the birthday as were some other friends from the USA who had taken this photograph of the three of us.

Such a beautiful family!!! Ramana you are just like a lot of people anywhere (in spite of that funny dress you’re wearing). Only thing wrong with that picture is the cigarette. That balances out because you’re a vegetarian.

Happy birthday Birthday boy!
Where do the years go Ramana? I am sure it seems like you only blinked and the years flew by.
Enjoy your son.

Yes Grannymar, quite how time has flown is amazing when you look back. Now that I have got the scanner, I intend posting a kind of retrospective as it were.

I always love to see pictures. Thanks! And Happy Birthday, Ranjan.
My daughter will turn 40 next week. It doesn’t seem possible, does it?

Jean, I finally took your advise and bought a scanner. The first photograph scanned and posted is the one that you see of the three of us together here. The other one is what Ranjan had posted on Facebook! He is a bit of a clown as you can see.

Now, you should try and post another comment to see if you still get that funny message saying that you are a fast woman! A number of others have now commented without any problem and so, it should work for you too.

Hello all,
Many thanks for your birthday wishes. I had a blast and its nice to see my Facebook pic up here on Dad’s blog. This picture was titled Dr Chip Man Chu – and caused a furore on Facebook amongst my pals. I ate the chips shortly after the pic was taken so that the evidence was destroyed.
Well, thanks again!
Apologies for delaying on the other post as mentioned by Dad, I take my procrastination seriously indeed!

Ranjan, I want you to be my friend on Facebook. When I mend I’ll tend to that. (I had a new wheel installed—a hip replacement.)

Ranjan is sure to love to have you as his friend.
So will I, now that I have started Facebooking a bit!

Hey Conrad,
Great minds think alike – that’s exactly what my girlfriend had to say when she saw the pic up on facebook. She took the picture by the way…:-p

Oops a small correction, that is her sitting next to me! Must have been candid camera’d by a visiting pal. Maria Maria.

@bikehikebabe: BHB, I smoke one cigarette a week. After my Sunday lunch. Mostly, what I do is to smoke between five and seven cigarettes a day for a few months and totally stop for a few months and then do this sort of one a week or something like that. There are many Sundays that I do not smoke at all.
I am sure that when you recently visited India, you would have seen the dress that I am wearing being worn by many Indians. It is our national dress. The Kurta and dhoty.
