  1. Comment by Grannymar:

I like your take on the topic this week!

    Rummuser Reply:

Thank you. Nowhere near what it could have been if I had had access to some other photographs.

  2. Comment by Conrad:

    Careful on the corners, Ramana!!!

    Rummuser Reply:

Corners? We do not have corners in India. We have curves. Is that what you had in mind?

  3. Comment by Nick:

There’s a cheetah in Belfast Zoo. I imagine it must be very miserable when it’s capable of running at 65mph. How can it possibly do that in a tiny enclosure?

    Rummuser Reply:

I consider all zoos other than the wild life sanctuaries as inhuman. Those poor creatures did nothing to deserve being penned like that. Not only the panthers, but every single one of them. I am also against keeping birds in cages and fish in aquariums.

  4. Comment by Maynard:

Rummy, I love this post. You descibed the topic perfectly through pictures! Fantastic!!!!!!

    Rummuser Reply:

Thank you Mayo. It is nice to hear such flattery from you.

  5. Comment by Ursula:

Ramana, I always get confused: Is it “more haste, less speed” or the other way round?

Whichever, you will crash – or not.

    Rummuser Reply:

There, you have confused me too! You must remember that I am a bullock cart driver!

    Ursula Reply:

It’s getting better, Ramana: The other day we were choo choo puffing along on a train, now we are raking the dirt with a bullock cart. At least my picnic hamper remains a constant.

I’d love to keep an oxen or two. Such a stylish way of travelling around town.

  6. Comment by Darlene:

A great way to cover speed. I think I would qualify as the slowest woman on earth.

    Rummuser Reply:

Darlene, you do not. The way your brain works is amazing and please do not short sell yourself. I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts and would not if they were slow!

  7. Comment by gaelikaa:

If a picture paints a thousand words you painted several thousand! Very original take indeed and yes, I got the point.

    Rummuser Reply:

I knew that you would! Thank you.

  8. Comment by Maria:

I will ride with you. The slow speed of your vehicle will allow me meditation time. Fantastic photos and a great presentation, as usual.

    Rummuser Reply:

    Thank you.

  9. Comment by Marianna:

You spoke volumes with very few words.

    Original.

I’m always curious about the genesis of ideas…did this one pop into your head or did you have to ruminate on it for a bit?

    Rummuser Reply:

I was quite frustrated not being able to generate the right ideas for a post from the very moment I got your mail with the subject. Normally, I write the post on the Saturday following the weekly post if the subject is already announced, or immediately after it is, and schedule it for publishing the next Friday. In this case, I finally sat before the computer, on Wednesday, with a blank mind and decided to post whatever came into my mind. As soon as I opened the ‘New Post’ box, the idea hit me like a sledge hammer. I suppose that the subconscious was working all the time!

  10. Comment by Maynard:

Send me some of that wine. Stop hoarding it!

  11. Comment by Judy Harper:

I found the pictures so right for the word speed. I especially enjoyed the last picture. I’m just going around saying hello to my fellow members in LBC. I’m so looking forward to my first post on Friday. I noticed some called you Ramana while you’re listed as Rummuser, how do I address you in comments and emails?

    Rummuser Reply:

Anything that you fancy. A whole list is there in my blog under “About”. After all what is in a name? A rose by any other name will still be a rose!
