It’s very important to laugh at oneself at regular intervals. Taking life too seriously takes all the fun out of it and bores other people. And life is so absurd it’s sometimes hard NOT to laugh.

Absolutely. I find just about everything capable of its humourous side. That is why, I am laughing all the time.

Hey everybody,
Thank you for answering the questions from my interview (33 Questions For An Interview With Yourself). As I already wrote on Mitch’s website the reason behind this interview was that everybody is important. And you proved this to me more than once. If you want to meet more people with interesting stories just go ahead and read the original post linked above. If you take the interview don’t forget to add a link back to the original so I’ll know you took it.
Thank you all, you are wonderful

According the Christian vision, God made mankind to enjoy eternal joyful life and good health, wealth etc. One of God’s creatures, a high ranking officer in the Heavenly host of angels, an angel of the Seraphic order named Lucifer, rebelled against God. Seems to have done so because of total jealousy of mankind. He left God’s kingdom, taking a lot of angels and heavenly beings with him, having led them astray. He surreptitiously won the confidence of mankind, to which God had given lordship of the earth. He persuaded Mankind to hand over lordship of the earth to him. He considers himself to be God’s opposite, but in fact he isn’t even halfway there. God is almighty and omnipresent. That creature is not. He can only be present at one place at a time and sends his underlings to do his awful work, and apparently, he even discovered he technology to make many more. As he legally rules the earth, he specialises in disasters, misery, tragedy and takes a macabre delight in the fact that when something bad happens, people invariably blame God for it. He was sentenced to death for his treason, but he remains alive until man’s original lease expires, by which time his own illegal lordship will expire and his sentence will inevitably be carried out. His mission is to corrupt every person that ever lived. He wants every human being to die. I won’t say that man’s original nature is sinful, but no man is capable of earning salvation no matter how much austerity he practises nor how much meditation he does. In order to give man a way out of the road to death, God’s perfect Son entered the earth quite legally, born as a man, and took the punishment for sins he had never committed. That’s why people who take Jesus as Saviour can walk free of what a Hindu might call ‘Karmic debt”.
Sorry for the overly long comment Ramanaji, but…..that’s the answer to question no.31!
Rummuser Reply:
November 26th, 2009 at 17:55
Gaelikaa, you have stumped me. My answer was one word. Karmic debt and I are old friends. After all that knowledge also, I would still ask Him that one word question -Why?
gaelikaa Reply:
November 26th, 2009 at 19:04
Well, that’s not a question that could suit a one word answer but then again – maybe! Just that it makes me sad when people blame God for the bad stuff. And I’m not for one moment suggesting that you did! That’s quite an emotional issue for me, to tell you the truth.
Rummuser Reply:
November 26th, 2009 at 23:42
Fair enough and I am comfortable with that. I do not blame God, but I would certainly like to know what exactly was the cause and effect equation.
Ursula Reply:

Gaelikaa,
No offence to anyone who relies on the idea of ‘God’ as a source of comfort to get them through the day: He is the idea of that almighty father we as children, scared of the dark and things going bump in the middle of the night, wanted to protect us, to look after us; unfortunately, some of us also came to expect him to dish out divine punishment in the tradition of “Wait till your father comes home!!!” Gaelikaa, there comes a time when we have to stand on our own two feet, take responsiblity for our (in)actions, make sure that the door is bolted.
Neither is there anyone to blame for the ills of the world other than ourselves. Of course it is scary that we are on our own but it’s the whole point of growing up. Jesus Christ was a great guy – how else would he have stood the test of time – but he was human. And we owe it him to accept that his moral teachings, his convictions led to his crucification as a man of flesh and blood. There is nothing elevated about it. What happened to him is what humans do to other humans – to this day. Naturally, when a little girl, I believed my mother’s version of a happy end – still do – that Jesus and Maria Magdalena managed to escape together, procreated and lived happily after.
Gaelikaa, the only strength we can find is within our own self. I know it’s hard, it’s tough; yet I find self reliance, not being dependent on anyone, so very comforting. My mother told me when I pestered her with questions about god how only children can that “God is the GOOD in us”. And, of course, on that shrine we should all worship.
U

@Ursula; we seem to agree on the fundamentals. That there is no point in blaming God for the ills of the world. And also that there comes a time when we have to stand on our own feet and take responsibility for our (in)actions. I really couldn’t agree more with that. I’d just really like to leave it at that.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my comment. It is great to have your contribution to our blogs. You really make us sit up and think about what we are writing.

Maria

@Bikehikebabe – I don’t like to go around wearing my faith like a badge – but God gets such a bad press in general, when I see an opportunity I like to let my take on that matter be known – not that He needs me to defend him, but people should be given an opportunity to become aware of what a situation might otherwise be – so they can take it or leave it so to speak – if that doesn’t sound too pretentious….
I’d love to get you email ID so I can comment back to you when you comment on my blog!
