The number 111 for some is magical. In South India, it is used to describe the Iyengar community who apply a symbol of a trident on their forehead.

In cricket it is called the single Nelson when a batsman is on the exact score of 111. There are many stories about this and you can do no better than read all about it in Wikipdia.
Again in cricket, scores of 222 and 333 are called double and triple Nelsons.
Why am I bugged about the Nelson number?
THIS IS MY POST NUMBER 1111.
My first post on this blog was on June 8, 2008. I think that I have been quite prolific. What do you think?

It’s a really rewarding task! I appreciate your patience,perseverance…

Thank you. It helps me to stay sane. At least I hope that it does.
Indeed! Reading your blog has become a routine and hope you will strike many more Nelsons! But there is more to this magical 1111, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKES-x9bexs

Wow! I wish that I had known about it earlier. Thanks for leading me to some other interesting facts about the 1111.
You have indeed been prolific. I’ve posted a mere 580 times since February 2007. But then you have to remember that my posts are of superlative quality, hand-crafted, lovingly constructed and built to last.

I would agree that I do have time to spare compared to many others of my ilk. Thank you for that vote of confidence.
I’ve been posting for 3 years longer than you, Ramana and am nowhere near 1111. Wow! And Congrats!!

Good going. I’m a year behind you in blog age and miles behind you and have maybe 1/4 the posts. What have I been doing with myself?

No time like to now to get motivated what?
good going from me as well…I guess it’s a hobby that has become an enjoyable habit. I wax and wane on the blogging aspect but I’m trying to be better in that I have linked my blog to Chrome taskbar on my laptop which is the gadget I use usually in the morning so I should at least try to do more…

You may well be right that a hobby having become a habit. I use only my desk top and so far have resisted the temptation to go mobile with a pad or a notebook or whatever.
